1 John 4:7 NKJV

(7) Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Maybe your view of God was shaped by an incident you went through and you are mad at Him. Stop viewing God as harsh, mean, or unforgiving. In this verse, the writer uses the word love three times. The writer is John, the beloved, one of Jesus’s closest disciples. John knew what it meant to be loved by God. He lived, traveled, ate, and hung out with Jesus. If you want true love, you have to know God. You need to hang out with Jesus. Notice that love is of God and is born of God. The word “born” here means “bear, beget, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, make, spring.” You can’t manufacture love for someone in yourself. You have to get love from God. God gave us His only Son, Jesus, because He loves us. Get to know Jesus today and talk with Him. Let Him bring forth or spring love in your life to those around you.
